Del. Justin Ready represents District 5A in the Maryland House of Delegates. He serves on the Health & Government Operations Committee and two standing sub-committees – Government Operations and Minority Health Disparities. He also is a member of the Rural Health Care Workgroup.
Del. Ready is the third youngest legislator in the Maryland General Assembly.
Justin Ready grew up in Carroll County after moving here from Mississippi with his parents at age 11.
At a very young age, Justin became interested in history, current events, and public policy. As a teenager in Carroll County, Justin was involved in community service and youth leadership through his church and worked at Montgomery Wards and three local small businesses during his high school and college career.
Justin Ready’s unique experience has prepared him to serve as Delegate. He’s been a self-employed small business owner, worked in several small businesses, has Maryland General Assembly experience working as staff in both the House and Senate and served as Executive Director of the Maryland Republican Party.
Justin and Ruth Ready, a public school music teacher, reside in Westminster, MD and are expecting their first child in May. They are members of Liberty Church in Westminster.
